Carbon International (Pty) Ltd – Shaft kiln calcination

Through the cooperation with a South African Multinational Energy Company, one of the world's largest energy groups and specialist in the liquification of hard coal, and the construction of a shaft kiln calcination plant in Sasolburg, we've expanded our product portfolio with PROCARB SG for the benefit of our customers.

Due to a joint study with the Foundry institute of the University in Freiberg/Germany and field trials in European and Far Eastern foundries, it was demonstrated that the carbon raiser performance of PROCARB SG in ductile and grey iron foundries is a result of its low sulphur and nitrogen content, its excellent solubility and high carbon yield. In addition to the technical results, PROCARB SG also has an economic benefit due to lower production costs.
